Barry Perlman


We’ll look at the astrological Mars as an agent of separation, with specific focus on the role it plays within the context of queer politics. Through a mix of theory, application, and personal reflection, this talk explores Mars as a symbol both of our divide from the mainstream as queers and of the factious differences within the queer community, with the aim of opening an honest dialogue about constructive ways to channel Mars’s energy.

Barry Perlman (astrobarry) is an intuitive astrologer who’s been counseling clients worldwide for more than a decade. Since 2002, he’s shared his astrological wisdom on his website ( where thousands of visitors enjoy his weekly “horoscopes that keep it real” and other writings.  Barry has spoken on Queer Astrology topics at the California Institute for Integral Studies (CIIS), the National Council for Geocosmic Research (NCGR) 2013 conference in Philadelphia, and the previous Queer Astrology Conference.  He holds a B.A. in English (Duke, 1995) and a Master’s in Interdisciplinary Humanities (NYU, 1999).  Barry also co-owns The Sacred Well (, a metaphysical shop in Oakland, CA.

  1. One important thing is that if you are searching for a student loan you may find that you’ll want a cosigner. There are many circumstances where this is correct because you might find that you do not employ a past credit rating so the mortgage lender will require that you have someone cosign the borrowed funds for you.   2. Thanks for these guidelines. One thing I also believe is that credit cards supplying a 0 apr often bait consumers with zero monthly interest, instant approval and easy on-line balance transfers, however beware of the most recognized factor that may void your current 0 easy street annual percentage rate and to throw you out into the very poor house quick.
